Biryani-Spiced Sweet Potato Fritters

Intro

Crisp on the outside and tender inside, these sweet potato fritters are elevated by the warming aroma of Biryani spice. They’re great on their own or paired with a yogurt dip for a satisfying snack or party bite.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium sweet potatoes, grated
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 scallion, finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 tsp Biryani spice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil, for frying

Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine grated sweet potato, flour, egg, scallion, Biryani spice, salt, and pepper.
  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the mixture and flatten slightly. Fry 2–3 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
  • Drain on paper towels.

Serving Suggestion

Serve hot with a lemon-garlic yogurt sauce or chutney.
