Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 chicken breast, diced
  • 1 tsp chicken shawarma spice
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 carrot, diced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14 oz)
  • 1 can black beans, drained
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 4 corn tortillas, cut into strips & baked until crisp

Instructions

Sauté Aromatics
Heat oil over medium heat; cook onion, garlic, carrot until softened (5 minutes).

Add Chicken & Spice
Stir in chicken and shawarma spice. Cook for 3–4 minutes.

Simmer Soup
Add tomatoes, beans, and broth. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.

Season
Adjust salt and pepper to taste.

Serve
Ladle soup into bowls and top with crispy tortilla strips.
