This Zaatar Roasted Chicken is a fragrant and flavorful centerpiece for any meal. Marinated in olive oil, lemon, garlic, and a generous amount of Zaatar, each bite is juicy and aromatic. It’s simple to prepare and perfect for weeknight dinners or festive gatherings

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken, cut into 8 pieces
  • 3 tbsp Zaatar
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Marinate the Chicken
    In a mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, Zaatar, salt, and pepper. Rub the mixture all over the chicken pieces.
  • Arrange in Roasting Pan
    Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the chicken pieces in a roasting pan, skin-side up.
  • Roast
    Roast for 45–50 minutes, or until the chicken is golden, crisp, and fully cooked (internal temp should reach 165°F/74°C).
  • Serve
    Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
