Zaatar Roasted Chicken
This Zaatar Roasted Chicken combines the juicy tenderness of oven-roasted poultry with the earthy, herby notes of zaatar. Infused with garlic and lemon, it makes a vibrant, aromatic main course perfect for gatherings or comforting family meals.
Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken, cut into 8 pieces
- 3 tbsp zaatar
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade
In a bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, zaatar, salt, and pepper.
- Marinate the Chicken
Rub the marinade thoroughly all over the chicken pieces. Let sit for 15–20 minutes if possible.
- Roast the Chicken
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the chicken in a roasting pan and roast for 45–50 minutes, or until the skin is crisp and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Rest and Serve
Let the chicken rest for 5–10 minutes before serving to lock in the juices.
