Shawarma-Spiced Stuffed Mushrooms
These shawarma-spiced stuffed mushrooms are rich, savory bites perfect for parties or mezze platters. The blend of warm spices pairs beautifully with earthy mushrooms and creamy feta, delivering a bold yet balanced flavor in a compact form. Great served warm or at room temperature.
Ingredients
- 16 large white or cremini mushrooms, stems removed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small shallot, finely chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/2 cup cream cheese
- 1/4 cup crumbled feta
- 1 1/2 teaspoons shawarma meat spice
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil spray or drizzle for baking
Instructions
- Prepare the Filling
In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium. Sauté shallot and garlic until soft, 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Mix the Filling
In a bowl, combine sautéed aromatics, cream cheese, feta, shawarma spice, parsley, salt, and pepper. Stir until creamy.
- Stuff the Mushrooms
Fill each mushroom cap with the spiced cheese mixture. Arrange on a parchment-lined baking tray.
- Bake
Lightly drizzle or spray with olive oil. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 18–20 minutes until mushrooms are tender and tops golden.
