Shawarma-Spiced Flatbread
Soft, chewy flatbreads infused with shawarma meat spice are perfect for wraps, dipping, or as a flavorful side. They’re quick to make and cook on a skillet—no oven required.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon shawarma meat spice
- 2 tablespoons yogurt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2/3 cup warm water
Instructions
- Make the Dough
In a bowl, mix flour, salt, and shawarma spice. Stir in yogurt, olive oil, and water. Knead until smooth.
- Rest the Dough
Cover and let rest for 20–30 minutes.
- Cook the Flatbreads
Divide dough into 6–8 pieces. Roll each out thinly. Cook in a hot dry skillet for 1–2 minutes per side until golden spots appear.
- Serve
Brush with olive oil or butter if desired and keep warm in a towel.
