Jordanian Thyme Falafel-Stuffed Avocados
Creamy avocado halves become a vessel for herby falafel crumble spiced with Jordanian thyme. A protein-rich, modern mezze item that blends texture and Middle Eastern flair.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe avocados, halved and pitted
- 1 cup cooked falafel, crumbled
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Jordanian thyme
- 1 tbsp tahini
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Sauté the Falafel Crumble
In a skillet, heat olive oil and add crumbled falafel. Stir in Jordanian thyme and a pinch of salt. Cook 5 minutes until crisp.
- Prepare Avocados
Scoop a small well into each avocado half. Drizzle with lemon juice.
- Assemble and Serve
Fill avocados with falafel, drizzle with tahini, and garnish with parsley and sumac.
