Harissa Shrimp & Pineapple Skewers
These skewers bring bold harissa heat together with sweet pineapple and succulent shrimp. It’s a playful surf-and-turf bite with North African spice — ideal for grilling season or party appetizers.
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled & deveined
- 2 cups pineapple chunks
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp Moroccan harissa spice
- 1 tsp honey
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- Wooden skewers (soaked if grilling)
Instructions
- Make marinade
Whisk together oil, harissa, honey, salt & pepper.
- Coat & skewer
Toss shrimp and pineapple in marinade. Thread alternately onto skewers.
- Grill
Preheat grill to medium-high. Cook skewers 3–4 minutes per side until shrimp are opaque.
Serving Suggestions
Serve with lime wedges and a dollop of coconut yogurt or raita.
