Grilled Peaches with Aleppo–Tequila Honey Sauce

This elegant summer dessert combines smoky grilled peaches with a luscious tequila-honey sauce spiced with Aleppo pepper. The result is a harmonious mix of sweet, tangy, and slightly spicy flavors—perfect for when you want something simple yet sophisticated.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe peaches, halved and pitted
  • 1–2 tbsp high-heat cooking oil
  • For the sauce:
    • ⅓ cup tequila + 1 tbsp
    • ¼ cup honey
    • ⅛ tsp Aleppo pepper (plus pinch for garnish)
    • Zest and juice of ½ lime
    • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Grill
    Preheat the grill to high heat.
  2. Prepare the Peaches
    Brush the cut sides of the peaches lightly with oil.
  3. Grill the Peaches
    Place the peaches cut side down on the grill and cook for about 5 minutes, until caramelized.
    Flip the peaches and grill for an additional 5 minutes until tender.
  4. Make the Tequila Honey Sauce
    In a small saucepan, simmer the tequila over medium heat until reduced by half (about 5 minutes).
    Remove from heat and whisk in honey, Aleppo pepper, lime zest, lime juice, and a pinch of salt.
    Let the mixture steep for 5 minutes, then whisk in the remaining tequila.
  5. Assemble and Serve
    Slice the grilled peaches into wedges.
    Drizzle with the tequila honey sauce and sprinkle with a touch of Aleppo pepper before serving.

Serving Suggestion:
Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
