Crispy Grated Halloumi with Zaatar and Eggs

This crispy grated halloumi skillet is a protein-packed, flavorful way to kickstart your day. Halloumi is grated and pan-fried into a golden crust, then topped with eggs and a shower of Zaatar for a fragrant, savory meal that comes together in minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 pack halloumi cheese, grated
  • 4–6 eggs
  • 2 tbsp Zaatar blend

Instructions

  • Cook the Halloumi Base
    Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add grated halloumi and spread evenly in the pan. Let cook undisturbed for 2–3 minutes until the bottom is golden and crispy.
  • Add Eggs and Zaatar
    Crack eggs directly over the cheese. Sprinkle with Zaatar.
  • Finish Cooking
    Reduce heat to low, cover the skillet, and cook for 3–5 minutes, or until the eggs set to your liking.
  • Serve
    Slide the cheese and egg layer onto a large plate or serve directly in the skillet.
