Aleppo Pepper Pasta

Aleppo pepper brings a smoky, mild chili flavor to this simple yet comforting pasta dish. Combined with garlic, Parmesan, and fresh basil, this quick recipe is a weeknight favorite that feels anything but basic. The oil-based sauce lets each spice shine through, making every forkful satisfying and flavorful.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Aleppo pepper
  • 3 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil, for garnish

Instructions

Cook the Pasta

  • Cook spaghetti according to package directions.
  • Drain and set aside.

Sauté Aromatics

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

Spice the Sauce

  • Stir in Aleppo pepper and red pepper flakes.
  • Cook another 30 seconds.

Combine and Finish

  • Add spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat.
  • Season with salt and pepper, then sprinkle with Parmesan.

Garnish

  • Garnish with torn basil leaves before serving.
