7 Spice Spaghetti Bolognese
A unique take on the classic Italian comfort food, this version uses 7 spice to bring new warmth and earthy notes to the rich tomato-meat sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 carrot, diced
- ½ lb ground beef or lamb
- 1½ tsp 7 spice
- 2 cups tomato puree
- 1 tsp sugar
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 12 oz spaghetti
- Grated Parmesan (optional)
Instructions
- Sauté the Base
In a pan, heat oil and sauté onion, garlic, and carrot until soft.
- Cook the Meat
Add ground meat and cook until browned. Stir in 7 spices.
- Simmer Sauce
Add tomato puree, sugar, salt, and pepper. Simmer 25 minutes.
- Cook Pasta & Serve
Boil spaghetti. Toss with sauce and top with Parmesan if using.

Serve with a green salad and warm bread.
