7 Spice Chicken Fatteh
This deconstructed layered dish brings together toasted pita, garlicky yogurt, and spiced chicken for an unforgettable comfort meal. 7 spice blends perfectly with garlic and lemon to create a warm, rich base flavor.
Ingredients
- 2 large pita breads, torn and toasted
- 2 cups shredded rotisserie chicken
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 tbsp tahini (optional)
- 2 tsp 7 spice
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp pine nuts, toasted
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley
Instructions
- Toast the Pita
Tear pita into bite-sized pieces and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 8–10 minutes until golden.
- Mix Yogurt Base
In a bowl, combine yogurt, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and tahini if using. Set aside.
- Warm the Chicken
Sauté chicken with olive oil and 7 spice over medium heat for 3–4 minutes until heated through and fragrant.
- Assemble Fatteh
Layer pita at the bottom of a shallow dish. Add warm chicken, then spoon yogurt mixture on top.
- Finish and Serve
Sprinkle with pine nuts and parsley. Serve warm.
