7 Spice Breakfast Hash

This Middle Eastern twist on a breakfast classic features crispy potatoes, caramelized onions, and a fried egg finish, all scented with bold 7 spice. It’s satisfying, unexpected, and ready to energize your morning.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 large potato, diced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 tsp 7 spice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 eggs
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook the Vegetables
    Heat oil in a skillet. Add potatoes and cook until golden. Add onion and pepper, cook until softened.
  • Add Spice
    Sprinkle 7 spice, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
  • Fry the Eggs
    Make wells and crack eggs into them. Cover and cook until whites are set.
  • Serve
    Garnish with parsley and serve directly from skillet.

    Pair with warm bread and labneh or serve with a side of olives.
